Belmopan Band Fest 2013 Parade Pictures

The parade through Belmopan to kick off Band Fest 2013 is still going on.  It started at 8:30am and should continue for a few hours…2 miles all the way down to the football stadium.

I thought I’d take a quick time-out from the heat…MAN IT IS HOT IN BELMOPAN TODAY…and share a few pictures before I head down to the competition.

San Pedro’s own Isla Bonita Marching Band led the parade.

Love the uniforms!

IMG_0693-aMy vote for the best dancers…Dangriga.

IMG_0697-aSartenaja wins my prize for most colorful uniforms.  Great shoes.

IMG_0780-aIMG_0786-2And then the Jesse White Tumbling team from Chicago is a HUGE favorite.  They already have a huge (almost all female) fan club following them.

IMG_0825-2There are some fine looking tumblers in this group…

IMG_0813-aIt’s approximately 1000 degrees…quick shower and then off to the football field for the competition. But I wanted to fill you in…
