8 Posts that Will Make You Want to Visit Ambergris Caye SOON

I started blogging in June of 2011!  And during the last five PLUS years, I have just over 1500 posts – some that have been read tens of thousands of times (like those on how I moved here) and about my (very calculated) run-in with the TV Show “The Bachelor” and others that well…are best left to the deep black hole that is the internet.

The Best Beaches On Ambergris Caye

Our shore front is lined with docks and I am a HUGE fan of just rolling out a towel and sunning, swimming and sunning again on the worn pier.  But we DO have beaches.  Here are some of the prettiest on Ambergris Caye.

Flying over the Blue Hole With Tropic Air and/or Snorkeling the Blue Hole

Two totally different trips…I’m not sure which is more awesome.  I LOVED visiting Half Moon Caye and can’t wait to go back for camping.

Trip Over to The West Coast of Ambergris Caye

This is a must, must, must do.  Many know not-so-Secret Beach and that is a great look at “the other side of Ambergris Caye”.  But an even better trip is a charter boat or a trip with YOLO to the leeward side.  Spend the afternoon lounging on a sandbar.

Trip to Hol Chan, Shark Ray Alley and Caye Caulker

It’s absolutely unheard of to visit Ambergris Caye and NOT snorkel Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley.  Total madness.  I absolutely love doing it on a catamaran – Seaduced by Belize is absolutely fabulous.

It’s so lovely to nap on the way back.

Another option is YOLO…a party boat that keeps you well fed and sipping cocktails the whole time.

Either way, each stop is absolutely fab.
