Love Fm sponsored a (I think the first ever) Amateur Kayak Race from Belize City to San Pedro. (http://www.lovefm.com/ is the big radio station in Belize). As usual, I had no idea. Again…I really need to read the papers. It’s a particularly interesting race since on the way, the kayakers need to catch a lion fish, a conch and a lobster…not sure how they did that while they were paddling…but that is good stuff.
Almost as crazy…when they got close to Central Park, San Pedro, they had to get out of the boats and run thru the water onto land to the finish line. How brutal is that after you just kayaked for miles!
They just paddled by the dock. Wow. These guys are fit. That is ONE LONG HAUL.
I hear a team from PG came in first…Coast Guard second…I’m sure you can get the update on Love Fm.
