True or False? Does Jagermeister Actually Contain Deer’s Blood?

Okay…no…but you’d be surprised how many people are posing that question on the internet.

A little background on everyone’s favorite shot:  Jagermeister.

Translated literally, Jagermeister means Hunt Master or Game Keeper.  Introduced in Germany in 1934, it is speculated that it is a blend of 56 different herbs and spices.  In parts of lower Germany, it is often referred to as Leberkleister or “liver glue”. (Probably due to it’s healing and restorative properties).

Jagermeister was first exported to the United States in 1970.  The end of the dark ages…
