Sex & the City Meets Satay and San Pedro at Casa Picasso

Some ladies of San Pedro put on their finest (for me a pair of earrings with coordinated flip flops) and had lunch at Casa Picasso, the much acclaimed restaurant that has recently re-opened under new management.  The theme was “Sex and the City-ish” and the food was divine.  It even looked like Messrs. Manolo and Louboutin were in town.  Nice shoes, Carrie!   (Not Bradshaw…Carrie O’Farrell!)

The place opened special for us.  Usually open between 5.30pm to 10ish, they do dinner only.  And they have a ridiculously good martini menu.  A great place to just stop by for a cocktail or two with or without dinner.  And definitely on my list for Best Romantic Restaurant in San Pedro.  Bring a first date here for a martini, I promise you, she or he will be very impressed.  I mean shucks, I would be super impressed.

Now “ladies that lunch” –  strike a pose.

Helda thanking everyone for coming and the staff for doing such a great job.

We had 2-4 choices for each part of the meal…appetizer, soup/salad, entree and dessert.  All were pretty damn good.

I started with the chicken satays with creamy peanut sauce.

And some delicious noodle entree.

And the best part?  Banana fried wontons with vanilla ice cream.

I heard a whisper while we were leaving that they are going to start having live music in the cute outside garden area.  Great idea.

We all left full, a bit hoarse from so much yapping and with only one suggestion…Casa Picasso, do you think you can get Pinot Grigio on tap?
