San Pedro Scoop: My Best of 2013 – Part FIVE, It’s a Wrap
Finally! And just in time…who knew that a “Best Of” would turn into five different parts. ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR…let’s wrap this up. I mean SERIOUSLY. Who does this person think she is?
Just back from Roatan and Punta Gorda (and their beautiful Mayan culture and the MayaBags…)
After a few days in San Pedro and a beautiful Thanksgiving, I headed to San Igancio and Cahal Pech Resort…
And found an AMAZING dessert shop in San Ignacio called “Sweet Ting”.
On Ambergris Caye, I drove past “The Hotel” less than one mile north of the bridge. Such an odd spot. About a year and a half ago, it was a posh hotel about to celebrate a grand opening. Now it’s all boarded up.
Kelly McGuire visited San Pedro and had an huge fundraiser at Fido’s for the SAGA Humane Society.
I headed up north to check out the new owners at Lazy Croc’s BBQ…good stuff. And big crocs.
I went up north a bit to X’tan Ha Resort…
And up even farther north to the northern tip of the island and Bacalar Chico.
It’s Christmas in San Pedro!
Two ladies made over 70 “Poly Puppies” to raise money for the San Pedro PolyClinic – our public hospital here on the island. An amazing fundraiser at Wild Mango’s.
I headed to one of Belize’s northern districts, Orange Walk. Home of sugar and tacos, not oranges.
And amazing Lamanai. I still haven’t reported back on that!
And then back to Ambergris Caye to see the final touches being put on Ramon’s Village after August’s fire.
And so…that’s it. For 2013. A pretty good year in a pretty good place to live.
