SO THIS Is the Plan for That Sand Bar Off of Caye Chapel? Enchanted Belize

Each time I take the water taxi from San Pedro to Belize City, I pass this active construction site.  On this tiny pile of sand less than a mile from Caye Chapel.

Here’s a picture I took a few years ago flying over Caye Chapel.  And I circled where this “caye” is.

I’d heard rumors that it was owned by a resident of Ambergris Caye and then that it was owned by the owner of one of the local water taxi companies.

I heard it was going to be a resort…but how?  It’s…microscopic…

This morning, I was clued in to the website for the project.  HOLY MOLY!  Take a look at this plan!
