SO THIS Is the Plan for That Sand Bar Off of Caye Chapel? Enchanted Belize

Each time I take the water taxi from San Pedro to Belize City, I pass this active construction site.  On this tiny pile of sand less than a mile from Caye Chapel.

Here’s a picture I took a few years ago flying over Caye Chapel.  And I circled where this “caye” is.

I’d heard rumors that it was owned by a resident of Ambergris Caye and then that it was owned by the owner of one of the local water taxi companies.

I heard it was going to be a resort…but how?  It’s…microscopic…

This morning, I was clued in to the website for the project.  HOLY MOLY!  Take a look at this plan!

If you have any details, let me know!  I’m going to see if they will let me visit.

Interesting choice of music for the video – Haddaway “What Is Love”.  Ha.

The three story construction in your first picture is not reflected in the renderings in your second picture, or on their website, or on their facebook page.

      It’s all quite confusing…

The beach / sea floor looks to be mechanically sanitized and fake, people don’t / wont come to Belize for this plastic environment.

Well…it’s definitely not the most lifelike rendering…
