September 21st is San Pedro’s biggest parade of the year and I have lots more pictures. If you didn’t see yesterday’s post with the pre-parade and the start, check it out.
Let’s continue with San Pedro’s amazing September 21st parade…and the hibiscus flowers and hummingbirds of The Island Academy.
Part Two.
There was quite a crowd at the beginning turn. A few hundred people standing on the shade side of the street and zero people on the other side.
Teacher Lisa and Ana of Ambergris Vacation Rentals.
Carrie of Sol Spa at the Phoenix and Kelly from Blue Water Grill and other spots.
The PUP political candidates and crew. The election is coming up…check out my last election day experience in March 2012.
The San Pedro AIDs Commission. Go Felix!
Brittney of SandBar Restaurant (and soon to be hostel) and Chap, a lovely chef at lovely Casa Picasso.Castillo’s Hardware. Thank you guys for participating.
And this beautifully tissue papered cart. This took some time!
This crew was so fun and I took their pic on practically every street in San Pedro.
On Front Street they were joined by Telenovela star Shelley. Strike a pose.
Kids, despite the incredibly loud music, were falling asleep left and right. Super cute to me.
Okay…back to the parade.
ABC Preschool with DJ Debbie providing the music. Lemme hear you SCREAM!
How awesome is this? A sea of octopi.
Sherlette rocks this every single year. Let me find a few of my old pics. This is 2014.
2013.
2012.
Okay…I’ll stop now…but I do think I might have 2010 somewhere…
2011.
She is the queen of the parade.
Next up was a super high energy red-white & blue group with some really good DJs.

Great photos! I don’t know most of the folks you know, but the beautiful costumed and dancing lady is Sherlette (I hope I spelled that right), who used to cook at Grand Caribe. She’s one of the sweetest, kindest people we met on the island — AND knows how to ROCK a parade!
I THINK she is at Grand Caribe at Rain. She is crazy good at the parade…the star.
