San Pedro Belize’s 2015 JUMP UP Parade – THE ENERGY! Part Two
Yesterday I posted most of my pictures from the parade line-up. Along the beach on what was a beautiful, INCREDIBLY hot day. We had all hoped for sun…AND WE GOT IT. Here is the parade…and the audience on Sunday. Good grief…it was FANTASTIC!
Let’s begin…I was back and forth all along the route so the background will be changing. Frequently.
The town council giving out candy to the kids. I only got pelted in the head with one lollipop. (That’s good for me!)
A one man operation. Great idea. The Breeze – here are the details on him and his radio programming.
The smartest head gear for the heat.
Back to the parade!
The SAGA Humane Society crew…with a very cute pup that’s looking for a home.
Super cute!
Love the giant flags waving…
And Sherlette who is with the ABC Pre-School every year…dancing in a huge HOT costume. This woman is amazing. A town treasure.
Queen of the parade…here’s 2014.
2013
2012
And 2011. WORK IT SHERLETTE! Back to 2015…
And a gorgeous horse on the island! He rode the barge over for the event.
Belize is 34 years old.
Beautiful Barbara and Zuzanna.
DJ Debbie working the crowd.
I loved Camp Starfish’s bike brigade.
The Mystic Mas group. Wow.
One of my favorite pictures. GO MELODY!
My local store, Marina’s.
The crowd was loving it.
And then Miss Carnival.
And everyone ended in the park for a huge performance by Gilharry 7. And THEN a powder color party. This bloggist is too…old. I was BEAT by the heat. And headed home for a little nap.
San Pedro – you killed it. Despite the rain-out and postponement…this parade was absolutely one of my favorites of all time.
Island Films did a RIDICULOUSLY great job of capturing the action. Take a look at this:
