Beautiful Thanksgiving Weather on Ambergris Caye

I love Thanksgiving here because you can make it as big or as small as you want it to be.  Everything is open – it is not a holiday in Belize – you can go on a snorkel tour – or book a beach barbecue or head to Caye Caulker for lunch – and then you can eat a delicious turkey meal with all the fixings or do surf and turf and just take it easy.  No pressure.

We are heading over to the camp for the afternoon and then picking up Thanksgiving to go from Lily’s Treasure Chest.  The menu is exactly what I want.  I pre-ordered but they are serving this from noon to closing time.  Thanksgiving on the beach.

I wanted to quickly share a few pics I took yesterday because it was SO gorgeous out.  The type of day (today is looking fantastic as well) that makes me very grateful for my life here in Belize.

I hope you all have the kinda day you are hoping for – simple or fancy – and a very moist meal.

A passing storm.  It never rained in town – but when I got home (8 miles north) – my laundry hanging outside was soaked.
