Lovely LoveFM Christmas Parade: San Pedro Lights Up for Second Night in A Row!
You might think San Pedro was tired from the Saturday night Lighted Boat Parade and Surprise Fireworks Display the night before but NO! This island knows how to party – especially around the holidays.
And while a bit smaller than usual, the LOVEFM Lighted (Street) Parade was festive, fun and very very beautiful.
This parade is organized by the folks at LOVEFM radio – the country’s most ubiquitous radio station – and has been happening yearly since 2011 in San Pedro. You can take a look at prior parades here but let’s dive into it because I took a bunch of photos at the beginning of the parade but my friend Mike W. took the MOST gorgeous pics on Middle Street and I can’t wait to share them.
It’ll be very obvious whose are whose!
The parade starts at Boca Del Rio park and it is very important to park north of the bridge if you don’t want to get caught in town, post-parade gridlock.

The makeup! The costumes! So much work went into this!
And then a new restaurant called The Mayan – located at Lina Point – had this amazing group of folks. (Wow…quite a website!)
Now to the GORGEOUS Middle Street photos.
SO MUCH JOY! This island is just the best – the BEST!
It was all followed by a big concert in the football field starring…the AMAZING Supa G. The king of Belize. The General!
I headed over the bridge to grab my cart and head home. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Supa G but…but…but…
My heart was full. I’m so thankful for being a part of this community. And extra thankful to everyone who worked so hard to pull off the SECOND parade of the weekend.
The view as I headed over the bridge. Perfect, right?

Stunning photos. I have to get there for this next year!
Fun and Beautiful pictures, Rebecca. And now I believe in Miracles. The fact you stayed in town past sunset – 2 days in a row! – is truly a miracle, lol. Thank you for your sacrifice…
I checked out The Mayan restaurant website and menu. Wow, the pictures made my mouth water and my stomach hangry! And the prices seemed quite reasonable – about ½ what they would be here in California. Then I thought, uh oh, maybe they’re listed in BZD – I fell for that once before. So I called them. The lady said, “US dollars”. ‘whew’…
