Big Plans on Caye Caulker
When I booked the very short flight to Caye Caulker a few months back…it was the ONLY flight schedule opening (SP->CC) over the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the Caye Caulker Lobsterfest weekend. 2pm Sunday. One way only…I’d take the water taxi home at 1/3 the price of the flight.

We decided to stay 3 nights on the caye…and I kept adding things to my itinerary. There have been some HUGE developments on the North Side of Caye Caulker to visit and I especially wanted to check out a small beach bar called Bliss Beach Lounge on the north-west side of the island.

In the end, the weather was so warm and our hotel SO GREAT, that we ended up keeping it pretty local. Doing my favorite things like walking around taking pictures of pretty pastel charming Caye Caulker, eating and drinking and…reading in the pool.
Here are some of the many many many pictures I took. Caye Caulker is just so beautiful…I could share 100 more! And then in my next post I’m going to rave about our stay at a Weezie’s Hotel.

We walked down to the Split…

And then stopping at some of the little shops…

A pretty little beach on the west side of the island – around the bend from the Split…

And then some cute sites along the beachside…

I’ll leave you with this cheeky sign…
It’s the end of July. HOLY CRAP!
Have a great weekend 🙂

Interesting ! I enjoyed seeing all these. Wish I was there. Thank you! Enjoy your wonderful life. ❤️🙏🏻
Great pics! Thanks.
Wow, I’ve never seen the Split that vacant!
Right? To be fair, it was probably about 930…10? They were getting ready for cruise ship tour boats to arrive
My thought of the day: spreading salty seawater on the dusty road probably prevents weed growth – and builds up enough salt to melt the snow in winter 💁♂️❄️
The ice/snow part is the key!
That is a great idea for winter road management.
You must have gotten up very early in the morning to get all those shots with no people around! Beautiful.
Thanks for sharing! My family and I will be visiting for the first time in a week!
