The CoVid-19 Update in Belize: Airport Re-opening Canceled, Complete 14-Day Quarantine in Place For Ambergris Caye

August 15th – the International Airport of Belize opens to incoming flights (all from the US) but there are significant restrictions and protocols – both on entry requirements (Testing) and movement once you enter the country.

My overview is that there are TWO themes:  Belize values her safety first and – if you planning to travel to Belize in the next few months – Know Before You Go.

This is considered the Third Phase of the Re-Opening of Belize’s Economy and it is certainly the one that is being watched (and worried about) closely.

The Prime Minister has described this re-opening as a “trickle” rather than a “flow” of incoming tourism – and hopefully providing a greater sense of safety for the entire country.

Here are the Belize Tourism Board’s restrictions and information for arrival.
