From San Pedro, Belize To The US of A: With a Belize City Sushi Stop

After an iffy early morning start on Friday… …by my 11am Tropic Air flight to Belize City Municipal, things were just perfect. A gorgeous clear day…and quite the view of the rafts of sargassum coming in.  Pretty good around Ambergris Caye but where the reef gets low…just before Caye Caulker…oh my. We landed for a dropKeep reading »

Heading From San Pedro To Hopkins For The Mango Festival, V.I.P.

Saturday, May 30th, was the Hopkins Village Mango Festival.  Gorgeous, grand old mango trees line the street of the little village and I’ve always wanted to be there when they ripened. I’m 41 now and only crossed off a TINY portion of that list – the Panama Canal and Laguna Bacalar,Keep reading »
