HOT DAMN! It’s SO BEAUTIFUL Out Today on Ambergris Caye, Belize

Excuse my language but it is an absolutely perfect May day.  As soon as I took Elsie out this morning, I had to run right back in for my phone.

Cooler and clear with gorgeous puffy white clouds…the water sparkling…today is THE PERFECT DAY.

I was getting a ride to the water taxi to pick up RYE BREAD, pastrami and sauerkraut from Ian Anderson’s Farmhouse Deli!!!!!!!!!  But as soon as we started going over the bridge, I HAD to hop out…and hold up traffic.  Just too darn beautiful.

Every way you looked.

I ran into Ishmael…who is having a grand re-opening and fundraiser for the San Pedro Food Bank.  He finally got his name back legally – Sandy Toes.

Come help him celebrate today!

AND if you are inside like I am…and on the caye…you are CRAZY.  It is absolutely weekend perfection.

  • HMMMmmmm?

    • I don’t understand the question…

      • i wasn’t actually asking a ques…..
i was just thinkin about the struggle/protests…that so many of us made to try and stop the destruction of one of the most beautiful lagoons that was….b4 pierce and his investors, built that damn reef village.
i ,as many others , can not see any beauty in that place.
        [since you wondered.]

        • There is always comfort in the fact that you can find negativity in anything…it’s really quite impressive.

          • i was taught…long ago… to always look at both sides of the coin.
if you’d like…..keep in mind that , beauty and wonder, certainly do, speak for themselves……simply by their being.
finding negatives, upon presentation….and selectively searching for them…….are not necessarily a symbiotic parallel.
and to recognize or even to actualize negatives…is not always being negative.
should natural abilities…really be considered, impressive ?

        • Actually here is a test: a kitten and a bunny with a rainbow over head. Go!

  • You have perfectly captured the island’s unique beauty. Every day is gorgeous, but that day was better than most. Brava!

    • It’s been one spectacular week…I’m shuffling around tripping on rocks and potholes like a tourist. Love it.

Ishmael… Got to know him last visit. Nice young man, husband, & father of a new born, Right? Say hi from Frank! Think I’ll have to play ‘Toes’ by Zac Brown and Jimmy Buffett now

    • Ha. Ishmael is the nicest kid ever. Always runs out to say hi when I’m walking by taking pictures. I heard his grand re-opening was a raging success 🙂
