It’s a perfect spot for a party.  Last night, the resort, under new management company, invited a crowd to unveil, officially, a new restaurant.  High-end Italian.

A cuisine we don’t really have on the island – at least not as a full restaurant devoted to Italian.  And a new chef, Chef Darren Pryer.

They invited people from town, the local government, media, management and concierges from island resorts.  All to get a taste of the new dishes…

I received an invite and, if you have been reading my blog for a while, you may know that I am not one to venture out in the evening. 7pm on a Tuesday night?!  In San Pedro, that means the crowd won’t start arriving until 8…ish.

It reminded me of this excellent, extremely snarky tweet.

Ha…I wanted to attend…at least for the beginning of the party.  Worth it…because Las Terrazas really is an incredible venue. And man…did they throw a party.

Beautiful and the food was delicious.  I’m still thinking about that warm cheesy arancini with just a dab of tart tomato sauce.  Yum.

You can see that my 6:55 arrival time was…early.

Everything looked so beautiful.

And then…many of you will gasp aloud…I snuck out.

I know!  But now I have to return…and I will!  You can take a look at the menu yourself.

I want all of these pasta dishes.  All.
