Launch of CC+L Summer Magazine and A FANTASTIC New Way to Follow Belize
Last week, I did one of my favorite things. I flew to Belize City…
…for the launch of CC+L Magazine, Caribbean Culture and Lifestyle: The Belize Edition.
FLYING over Belize on a gorgeous sunny hot day gawking at the scenery. One of my favorite things in the world. Before I get to the launch party, here are some photos of the 18 minute flight.
As our First Lady of Belize stated at the launch event later that day – We are SO blessed.
Just a few minutes outside of Belize City is this dense forest…and the gorgeous Belize River. I saw groups of manatees chomping on grasses by the rivers mouth. And landing in Belize City for the launch. We headed over to the Belize Biltmore.
The room was absolutely ready for the launch and the reveal of their second issue.
The media, representatives of the tourism board, lots of supporters from Chef Sean Kuylen to Charlies Jones from Koko King and Raggamuffin Tours in Caye Caulker and some special invited guests.
Tanya McNab, the powerhouse behind McNab Publishing and this magazine, in pink and the First Lady of Belize, Ms. Kim Simplis-Barrow, beautiful in yellow.
They unveiled the new cover – a photo taken on the Macal River at Chaa Creek Lodge. One of the most heavenly resorts on the planet.
Ms. Simplis-Barrow is the cover girl and a native of Western Belize. A “Cayo Gyal” as it says on the cover.
And then the “special guests” were announced and WHAT A GREAT IDEA! A new way for everyone to follow Belize – not just on a quarterly or weekly basis but real time.
Ten CC+L Travelers, “Brand Ambassadors” were announced. Young movers & shakers in Belize – social media savvy amateur and pro photographers to follow daily on Instagram. To see what is REALLY happening in Belize – how people living here are experiencing it.
Here are our two ambassadors for Ambergris Caye.
Brianna and Pablo
You can follow Brianna here…she was on the very first cover on CC+L at the beginning of this year.
She was born in San Pedro and works in the tourism industry and takes FAB pictures.
I LOVE instagram. I LOVE seeing what people are doing all over the country. This ambassador and traveler program is such a great idea. And these are the perfect representatives to show you Belize.
Rebecca Rath from Dangriga. She represented Belize in last year’s Miss Universe competition and really captivated the entire country.
My friend Leonardo Melendez from Orange Walk. He is truly one of the most talented photographers in Belize.
I don’t have all the ambassadors accounts yet but I’ll be adding them as I get all the information.
Congratulations on the new magazine, McNab Publishing!
And I will report back on how to follow everyone. You will absolutely want to.
One more picture of our beautiful country that I took on my ride home when I returned to San Pedro.
Chef Sean Kuylen is definitely one of them.
