Sept & Oct San Pedro Restaurant Closings: 2023

Each year, some restaurants and resorts close for vacations, and renovations and to celebrate Belize’s month of independence during our quiet season. September and October tend to be the slowest part of the tourism year in Belize and most definitely on Ambergris Caye.

But it’s also a GREAT time to visit! For the discounts, the celebrations and to hang out with the locals.

Busy and bustling San Pedro feels a bit more like a small village again during September and October.

Briana’s Deli: Closed September 11 to September 24th

Caramba’s Seafood Restaurant: Closed September 5th to October 5th

Capricorn Restaurant: Closed September 1st to October 6th

Elvi’s Kitchen: Closed September 10th to September 27th – re-opening on September 28th

El Fogon: Closed until September 26th

El Patio Restaurant: Closed Sept 4th to September 21st

Frenchy’s: Closed September 17th to October 3rd

Jyoto Sushi Bar: Re-opens September 5th

Island Jungle Bar & Restaurant: Closed until further notice for relocation (I hope it happens soon – read: The Island’s Jungle Bar: A Cool Spot For Everyone Charging Very Local Prices)

Las Terrazas Resort and Restaurant: Reopens October 1st

Lily’s Treasure Chest: Closed October 1st to October 22nd

Matachica Resort & Mambo Restaurant: Closing Sept 9th to October 3rd (Dreamy, trust me!)

Maxie’s Restaurant & Lounge: Re-opens Sept 11, 2023

Patz’s Deli: Closed Sept. 27 – Oct. 9

Red Ginger at the Phoenix Resort: Closed until September 30th

Sunset Lounge: Closed Sep 24 to Oct 20th

Victoria House Resort & Palmilla Restaurant: Closes Sept 18 and reopens October 13th

We Jammin Boat Bar at Playa Del Sala: Closing September 18th – October 16th
